Went for my grandpa and sisters birthday and the Food was awesome! The ladies were really nice. Everything was so damn good and fresh! The onion rings are to die for, fish was amazing along with the calamari! We brought our own drinks which was really cool! Def will be visiting again!

First and foremost, Pier 8 Seafood, is a fish market and an eating establishment second. You walk up to a large selection of various species of fresh fish and shrimp. You may purchase your choice(s) for take home to cook yourself or for a small extra amount they will fry the whole fish or fry/boil the shrimp for you. Sides are a choice of french fries or onion rings. With a couple of beers the meal was great. A choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Staff was helpful and friendly. A good choice if you are in the area. Oh yes, we had a red snapper and fries. Yum

I'm so glad I came to this place. I've been living in the bay area for some time and longed for a "you buy, we fry" fish place like the ones they have in Los Angeles. This place didn't disappoint. They have a variety of fresh catch, ranging from catfish, red fish, red snapper, and various sizes of shrimp, all displayed for the customer to choose. They also have fresh scallops, squid, frogs legs and oysters. You pick what you want and they fry it for you. You can also take the raw seafood home and cook it yourself. No need for that because their method of cooking is perfection. You can also get sides with your seafood. There's plenty of family style seating inside and on the patios outside as well. The staff is accommodating and friendly, and will make sure you have everything you need for a casual dining experience. This place is a gold mine. 5 stars!!!

I have eaten here once before and had a very good experience. However, today was a completely different experience. I brought two of my friends promising them a delicious seafood feast. What we received was a sore buttocks from sitting on a bench and waiting on our food for well over an hour. After voicing our concerns multiple times (as many other people were receiving their food) we were repeatedly assured that our order was "next" and coming right at that moment. The excuse of they had to change the oil was used to explain the delay. Meanwhile, numerous other orders came out ahead of ours as we continued to wait. When we finally received our order, I was thoroughly disappointed with our beautiful flounder that had been fried to oblivion. I will cede that the scallops and frog legs were good. Given how much money we spent, the ridiculous wait time and overcooking of the flounder was not acceptable. I feel awful for my buddy who volunteered to pick up the tab (you pay before you get your food). The quality of the scallops and frog legs are the only reason I'm leaving a two star and not a one star after some debate.

this is a MUST stop for tourist looking for fresh seafood. the parking is tight but there is additional parking across the street. you pick your seafood and how you want it cooked. they sell beer no wine and soft drinks. you cant bring any outside drinks or food. I absolutely love the taste and freshness
